Glass maker
Ruth Lyne
Ruth makes kiln formed glass wall panels and dishes in a limited range of colours and designs. Different metals, such as silver, copper and aluminium, in the form of leaf and wire are layered between two sheets of glass and fused in a kiln to produce a flat panel. The colours are limited to those that the metals produce naturally and work well in both traditional and contemporary settings.
Tamsin Abbott
Stained Glass panels influenced by the Herefordshire countryside around her home, the orchards, the hills, the woods and all the plants, birds and animals that grow and live about.
Frans Wessleman
In 2000 Frans produced his first work in stained glass. The richness of colour, fine detail and strong graphic style are typical of his work. The subject matter continues his interest in the human form and human relationships. Some pieces are based on poems and tales; some are directly from his imagination.
Stuart Ackroyd
All Stuart’s pieces of glass are hand blown in lead crystal, then selectively etched, ground, drilled hand polished by his highly skilled team, to reveal an inner chamber, or contrasting area of interest.
Top Glass
Established in 1999 by Stuart Fletcher, 'Topglass' produces colourful, freeblown studio glass. Each piece is handmade from 24% lead crystal, noted for it's brilliance and clarity. Topglass has a contemporary and innovative approach to design whilst remaining true to the traditional techniques of glassmaking discovered hundreds of years ago.
